Custom Properties

Morphfolia provides a range of capabilities around ‘custom properties’. 

Custom properties are pretty much “advanced key-value pairs”, and while they are usually bound to a specific page instance they can be used for a wide range of tasks.

They are most commonly used by Morphfolia to store the page/content bindings and layout/skin properties, but they are also used to store some site wide settings as well (such as the list of unwanted index words).

Using the Business Logic tier API, developers can use the custom property sub-system to hold, manage and access settings for their own applications.

Morphfolia provides a page that allows administrators to set custom properties across multiple pages at once (shown below).

 

The provided MS SQL 2005 implementation contains (suprise, suprise) a CustomProperties table:
