What is Morphfolia?

Morphfolia is two things:

  • A Content Management System (CMS)
  • A web application framework (for the typical Microsoft ASP.NET stack)

It provides a suite of tools and capabilities that make website development and management flexible.

This is achieved by a mature architecture and good design principles; the pages, content, page-layout and look-&-feel are all separated.

Content is served by HTTP Handlers, and APIs exist to support "standard" ASP.NET WebForm development so that your custom forms are consistent with the other content.

It provides (amongst other things) a built-in search engine, auto-generating site map, content indexes, web traffic monitoring, centralized system and audit logging.

Who is it for?  Morphfolia is aimed at helping those who do what I do: develop ASP.NET based web applications / web sites.  If you're an ISV or web development firm - why maintain your own WCM or CMS?  Use Morphfolia to look after standard CMS functionality while you spend more time focusing on your clients specific needs.

Morphfolia - Meaning?  I value the 'Agile' way of working: I see the organic growth of software (and web sites) as being the best approach.  The term 'Morphfolia' is a play on those terms: 'morph' - because things change, and 'folia' representing the organic nature of that change / growth.
